Can't deactivate a user

Dmytro Pozharov July 2, 2014

This article doesn't help:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Managing+Users#ManagingUsers-Deactivatingauser

I don't see deactivation option in user profile although I am a site administrator.

> To deactivate a user account:

  1. Locate the user in theUser browser (seeViewing Usersabove) and click theirEditlink in theOperationscolumn.
  2. In the resulting form, clear the Activecheck box.

There is no such checkbox!

Please help.

That page seems to be for JIRA standalone. You're probably looking for this one: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Deleting+or+Deactivating+Users

Thank you, that is the right help page.

But when I revoke user's access to Jira... all his logged work disappeares from reports. While I need those data to be stored.
