Can't change the status after removing step from workflow

Hi all,

We are running JIRA 5.0.1.

So I had a workflow with a step called 'In test' and existing tickets in that status. The step was removed from the workflow in an attempt to split it into 'Unit test' and 'UAT test'.

The issue I have now is that I have 10 issue stuck in the status 'In test' and I cannot move them, I can add the step back into a draft workflow but it will not allow me to create an outgoing transition. So they are stuck!!

How else can I change the status?

Can you check if you have the "Integrity Checker" in the System Admin Screen?

Workaround 1: You can copy this workflow and made your updates in the copy and update the project's workflow to use the copy

Workaround 2: Clone the issues and use the clone delete the old one.
