Can not connect jetbrains teamcity to Jira on-demand using XMLRPC (RPC handler object "jira1" not found and no default handler registered)

Alex Henderson February 27, 2013

I am trying to configure a local team city server to connect to a on-demand instance of Jira.

When configuring the connection I get this error:

java.lang.Exception: RPC handler object "jira1" not found and no default handler registered

Also when navigating to https://mycompany.atlassian.net/rpc/xmlrpc I get back the same error.

Is there some way to enable XMLRPC remote API in ondemand, that will work with teamcity?

Note: we do have remote API access enabled, and are using the SOAP API + REST API just fine.

This should be working by default. Please raise a Support request referencing this Answers post and we'll look into this for you.

We may need to restart JIRA to get this working again, so if you could provide an appropriate time window (including timezone) in which we can perform a restart, that would be helpful!
