Can Jira Simplified Workflow be configured differently for different issueTypes?

Using Jira Workflow (not Simplified) different issueTypes can be configured to follow different workflow statuses. Is there any way to provide somewhat similar result within Jira Simplified workflow?

No.  The point of the simplified workflow is that it is that - simplified so that all issues on the board have the same flow.

If you want different flows for different issue types, you need to configure that as a non-simplified workflow scheme.
