I am starting to build up an Agile project, and have current tickets that are prioritized (using a SQL script) based off of field calculations.
As an example, revenue implications and goals implications are weighted to determine the ranking of the ticket: (Revenue*8)+(Goals*10)=Rank.
Can Agile base the rank off of a calculated field like this, or does it only support ranking by dragging and dropping?
Thanks,
Claire
No, the way ranking works is that it needs a single unique number to indicate an issue's position in the list. Your formula is fine for prioritisation, but cannot be used for ranking because you could end up with duplicates.
Thanks Nic. Is there a way to view tickets in a certain Agile Stage (such as To Do) in order by a prioritisation number? Even if it's not on an Agile screen? Or another way to ask this question is can you view JIRA tickets filtered by Agile stage and ordered by a field (or more) on the ticket?
