Can Jira 4.4 showing issue in old version GUI as 3.8?

Hi all,

My company was using Jira version 3.8.

It then upgraded to 4.4, but our team doesn't like the new GUI. Expecially the workflow buttons bar when it mixed between buttons and dropdown list.

We like the old GUI where the list shows gracefully, and the items are side by side.

Can we configure the 4.4 to use GUI as 3.8?

Or is there any technical problem prevents that?

Short answer is "no". The GUI has been changed to the new format, there is no code for the old format left.

You can, of course, invest time in coding to change it back, but there's a lot of layout work and css to update, and you'll have to redo it on every upgrade.
