SalesForce is a great CRM, but its probably more than I need for myself. I am a huge fan of JIRA and wondered if this was possible to use JIRA like I had used SalesForce? I'm already a JIRA user too; I have a company account.
What would I need?
A board (probably KanBan)
Follow up tasks or reminders for tickets I create (I'm tracking sales, retention of memberships)
A way to look at a dashboard of sales I make. (via labels I suspect?)
Can JIRA do this for me and how?
Kyle,
I think this is definitely possible using Components/EPICS for organization and a tree-structure (somewhat). I would also create an issue type that is used to capture individual, unique iterations with each customer. Tasks can then be linked to each interaction, if necessary. This can help you report on each customer individually.
You could also look into add-ins, like this one...if you did not want to do your own customization...
Thanks,
A

That link sounds exactly what I wanted to read. Sadly it's now a 403.
If anyone from Atlassian reads this, I'm getting
Status Code: 403
x-cache: Error from cloudfront
