It's a customer request but I actually think it's pretty neat. Is there any method I'm missing for sending the current filter plus quick filters to the Issue Navigator?

Yes you can, if you have access to the project.  Simply Click on Board and Search issues as per requirementDashborad Jira imag 1.png
