Can I prevent certain users from using specific issue status'?

I have a custom workflow with a new step/status called Verified. I'd like to only allow a certain user group (Testers) to mark issues as Verified similar to the way you can for closing issues. Is this possible? Thank you!

There is a "User Is In Group" condition that you can use for that transition.
