Can I link 2 different customer JIRA accounts?

Two different companies (customer/vendor) each have Atlassian JIRA accounts, seperate instances.  We have a vendor who already has somewhat related JIRA tickets and want to not reload, simply reference access those tickets in our "customer" JIRA Project.

Can we have the accounts linked/reference to each other? Seems wrong to have to have 2 licenses for JIRA on the same project (just 2 different companies).

What exactly do you expect from linking the accounts ?
Is it related to licensing and/or about sharing information between multiple instances ?




Both. We have an account, our development partners that have accounts. We want to share JIRA tickets across different customer accounts instead of duplicating the tickets.
