Calculate Button

With the admin user i have access to the calcuate button within the issue navigator.

With any other user this button is not available.

Is this a permission issue or is there something else that i might be missing.

JIRA version : 6.1.#6144

Hi Kenneth Milo,

we often here from our customers that it takes some times after installing sumup, until the button appears for all users. But we are going to check this. Maybe there is an issue with JIRA 6.1. You can deny the acces to sumup in the settings, but if you didn't, there is no restriction for users.

Refreshing the browser cache can be helpful sometimes, but not always.

Kind regards,

Benjamin John

Thanks but the refresh doesn't seem to do the trick , ill wait for your findings into probable issues with 6.1.

Got the same problem.

We installed it and still missing the calculate button. Please help!

Thanks in advance....

Hello Malte & Kenneth, sorry i was absent last week. i'm working on it. Hope to fix it soon. Kind regards, Benjamin

Hey there,

sorry, but we can not reproduce this behavior in JIRA 6.1 or any other. Could you please tell us more about the enviroment e.g. browser, os, database.

The button will not appear in a few cases:

  • no license
  • user or group is restricted to use sumup in the sumup configuration
  • issue navigator is in detail view and not in list view

Kind regards,

Benjamin John

Hi Benjamin,

found the problem. We had restricted the users.

Thanks for your support!

None of the cases mentioned above are valid for us.

Trial license, No user restrictions, Issue navigator is in list view – Calculate Button is still only available for admins

Just to confirm – the user/group restriction is within the plugin permission config??

  • OS linux redhat 6.5
  • Browser - any , firefox, chome, ie
  • database - mysql

Hi Kenneth Milo, if you are still evaluating sumup, could please try to add a user and a group to the restrictions and remove them afterwards. Maybe this will fix the issue. Please let me know if this works. Thank you in advance, Benjamin John

Hey Kenneth Milo,

yes, like you guess, the restriction within the sumup configuration.

we are still investigating the problem.

Thank you for your patience

Benjamin John

An upgrade of our JIRA seems to have helped.
