CSV Import and attachment

Hello All,

We are trying to import all the issues from our development instance to the test instance through the CSV import feature.

All the mappings works perfect(customfields, comments,Date created etc). There is only problem with attachments.

Attachment gets copied, however when we open the file it is corrupted. Can you please suggest how to resolve this issue.

Hi Binisha,

  • Can you open the file from the attachments folder in another program?
  • If you manually upload attachments do they get corrupted?
  • Does this happen on all browsers?

Take a look at your logs and see if you find an error similar to this:

Attachment does not exist in filesystem /opt/atlassian/jira-home/data/attachments/

If you see the above verify the file attachment directory.  Let us know if you see other errors.
