Bulk removal of users from Jira and Confluence server before upgrading to DC

Dear Team,

On of our clients wishes to upgrade their Jira and Confluence server license to DC. Prior to this they want to reduce their user base by more than 4000 users and looking for a way for bulk removal of the users from Jira and Confluence. Are there any plugins or is there a query which the admin can run on the DB ? Jira and Confluence are not linked to any AD. Both applications use Jira internal directory.

Hi @abhishek_sharma03, you don't need to change the database to deactivate users in bulk or remove them from your license count. For example, you could use APIs or a marketplace app such as License & User Deactivator for Jira/Confluence, among others. Another option, if applicable in your case, would be updating the groups in the application access in Jira or the "can use" permission in Confluence. There are, though, queries you can run against the database to help you with this process. I'll leave some of those links as a reference:
