Not sure if I should be doing this in Plan view or backlog but need to move 30 to 40 stories from one Epic to another and not seeing any bulk move options. Have to do this for about 30 Epics so could really use some help and maybe a screen shot or 2 might help Thanks
When I try to do this bulk action it's unavailable.
Please review my previous response which indicates you need to be changing the Parent field not the Parent Link field.
Also this was specific to moving child issues of Epics from one Epic to another Epic. Is the scope of your search results only child issues of Epics?
If you need additional help, please start a new Question and provide the details of your filter query and screen images of what you are seeing.

Thank you Trudy. The Parent field is not available at all in my bulk actions.
The scope of my search has some tickets that are in the epic and others that are are not assigned to one. They all need to be in the same epic.
This is a common scenario. Bug tickets get filed and tickets are cloned without epics. It should be an easy process via bulk edit similar to managing fix versions.

Are the issues all in the same project?
If not in the same project are they all in Company Managed projects? Are there any Team Managed projects in the mix?

It's important to note that if any sub-tasks are included in your query, you will not see the Change Parent Link option.

Hello @Steven_Doherty
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Under the Filters menu select the View All Issue page.
Enter a filter to select the child issues that you want to change. These need to all be intended to go to the same Epic.
After you confirm that you have the correct list of issues you can click the ... button in the upper right corner to get to the Bulk Change wizard.
Select Bulk Change.
The next screen (Step 1) will list the issues in the filter results. Select the ones you want to update and click Next.
The next screen (Step 2) will give you bulk change options to choose from. Select Edit Issues and click Next.
The next screen (Step 3) will give you a list of fields available to change. Find the Parent field.
In that field specify the Epic to which you want to move the issues. Click Next.
The next screen (Step 4) will be a confirmation screen. This is the last step to confirm you want to make the change. There is no undo button to revert after you click Confirm, so make sure you really want to make this change.

Thanks for the detail in your response Trudy. I am going to try this option as well as just finishing my Q3 planning and working with many Epics

Hi @Steven_Doherty and welcome to the Community!
There's several ways you can do this. But if you're talking about 30-40 stories, you could quite easily update the parent epic in backlog view by selecting the stories you would like to move into a new parent epic and then just dragging them to the desired target epic in the epic panel. Just trying this in a test environment and I suppose this would be the fastest solution.
Alternatives would be bulk change from the issue navigator (but this requires a lot of steps if you want to move stories to multiple different parent epics) or updating the parent using the bulk update option in plans. Again, this requires quite a bit of clicking around and will probably not be faster.
Hope this helps!
