Bulk change vs Import



I am using JIRA 6.3.9 and trying to bulk change reports.

When importing from admin/External System Import/ Import from csv, I can map almost every field present in csv file to a field and import works as expected.


When importing from Issues/Import Issues from CSV, I can map only to a very limited list of fields. As I cannot map issue key, issues are created again.

Both operations are done as admin.


Why do I have these differences in the list of fields that I can map?

Got it.

List of fields proposed for mapping , when importing from issues menu, is the list of fields defined in the "Create Issue" screen. Why not.


Next question:

How to be able to map every field when importing from csv from issues menu. When bulk editing, we can not only create issues, but also edit issues, I need to map more fields.
