Browser compatibility issues

Hi there,

I belive our JIRA version is 6.4.2. Not sure when this got updated, however since the update all users have been receiving supportability errors when using IE and chrome.

IE users get the supportability error when logged in.

Chrome works fine, however trying to back up JIRA, the backup .zip file instead of downloading gets opened in a browser with some wierd characters.

Is this a known issue?

Hey Nikhil.

Firstly, JIRA's last version is 6.3.4, so we need to make sure on which version you are to help you better.


For this version, IE is just supported if it's running version 9 and above. If you are running anything below this, it's indeed unsupported ( and you will need to upgrade your browser or downgrade your JIRA).

For the chrome problem it can be a misconfiguration on your browser, can you please confirm that this occurs in another machine with chrome?
