Bitbucket Account vs Bitbucket OnDemand

Deleted user June 26, 2014

The following article references Bitbucket OnDemand when you add Bitbucket to an OnDemand account...

<https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Linking+a+Bitbucket+or+GitHub+repository+with+JIRA+OnDemand>

We had a Bitbucket account already, and have linked it to Jira OnDemand.

My question is: If we add Bitbucket directly into our OnDemand account, does that provide unified user and permissions management? Or are they still separate user sets?

Hi Lou,

Currently Bitbucket users/permissions are their own entity and not tied to any other Atlassian products. It's our goal in the future to bring that functionality, but as of now your OnDemand applications (JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, etc.) will be on a differenct userbase/permission structure than Bitbucket.

Thanks

Turner
