Better ways to view a workflow (for conditions/validations/post-functions)?

Has anyone ever come across a better method for viewing complex workflows? I'm running JIRA 6.2.7 and viewing complex workflows with a lot of conditions, validations and post-functions not a fun experience.

If I'm looking at a Workflow in JIRA, personally I prefer looking at the text view, but I'm sure you've already done that. Outside of the standard JIRA interface, I also prefer using the export to XML format. Doing this, I can break up the actions into sections and review the Workflow in XML as I would any programming project.

I'd like to think that there are plugins that would offer alternative views (the diagram view used to be a plugin), but a cursory glance through the marketplace didn't yield much. You might have better luck. However, my personal preferred method is to just export to XML and review the workflow as I would any other code.
