Hello, Im trying to keep as much as possible in the jira cloud scriptrunner format.. rather than some aspect of automation live here and some there and some over there. So what is the best approach to limit workflow transitions for specific issue types. Id also like to leverage teams / groups.. Let me know please
Hello @dsaveri
Have you looked at using the native workflow Conditions to limit the visibility of transitions? That would work if you have different workflows for different issue types.
Trudy is correct. By adding a conditional ( I recommend based on roles), you can offer a different set of transitions to your users.

Are you working with Company Managed projects or Team Managed projects? Get that information from the Type column on the View All Projects page under the Projects menu.
You have these native options for restricting who can execute the transition in a Team Managed project. The options are similar for Company Managed projects. Specifying a Team is not among the options.
You can add individuals or User Groups to project Roles, but not Teams (defined under the Teams menu in the product).
With ScriptRunner you have the option in Company Managed projects to add a Condition based on a script. You might be able to use that to restrict a transition to a Team, but I have not tried to work out those details.
