Best practice - working with Epic with user stories in different projects

Hello ,

I would like to know what is the recommendation in case of :

  • In have 3 Projects : A , B , C
  • Created Epic XX under Project A
  • Created user stories with Epic Link XX under Project B and Project A

Is it good practice ?

Asking as I saw that in this case I look on burndown chart / release burndonw , it doesn`t take in consideration issues from other projects w/ same Epic link (from Project A) . This can be fix by board filter change but not sure this is what we really wants .

Open for suggestions . Thanks
