Behaviour Plug-in in JIRA

As per the requirement from user, we have to validate 2 fields(Assignee / Queue Type) dependent on the value of either of the field. we have configured the validation script in behaviour plug-in.

After placing this script, the in-line edit is disabled for Assignee field,since we have put the validation script placed for this field in behaviour plug-in.. As per the documentation for Behaviour plug-in, it will disable the inline -edit, when a field is added in behaviour. we want to have both the behaviour validation & inline edit enabled for this field.

Is it possible to have both this features?

I believe that due to JIRA limitations of the inline edit, it's not possible to have both options. You will have to choose whether you want in-line edit of the validation in place.
