Hi,
we have multiple active directory servers in our directory forst and want to have a standby directory configuration in case one directory server goes down and the users are unable to login. We now have one primary active directory configured and one secondary with the same data (just different hostname).
Does anybody know if this configuration could lead to problems in the Jira instance?
Thanks.
Best Regards,
Adrian
Hi Adrian,
You can configure a new User Directory with the same settings (or point it to another DC server) and keep it disabled. In case of problems, you can login with a local JIRA user and disable the non-functional directory and enable the second one. You can disable a Directory by clicking on the 'DIASBLE' link as shown on the screenshot of this page. Here you can also learn more about managing multiple user directories in JIRA.
Only a local user can enable/disable/add repositories.
Best regards,
Lucas Timm
