Backlog query?

I now know how to create a scrum Board for an existing project which already had an Issue, how do I add other issues to my backlog?

You should be able to do that by configuring your board and columns as explained here.

Considering you have Backlog column, just configure your columns with the statuses of the tickets you want to add in that section.
