Hi All Could anyone advise as to how to get the test execution to automatically appear in the JIRA defect as a link when you create the defect by selecting 'Create issue' for a failed test step execution? The link is obviously created in the background but is not displayed in the defect in JIRA unless the user selects the 'Apps' then 'Zephyr Scale' option within the defect. It is pretty onerous to do this manually every time. This is also inconsistent with requirements traceability whereby the linked test case is automatically displayed in the Requirement record after the user sets the Zephyr setting in Apps just for the first requirement record. I cannot find any configure setting that covers the execution-defect link. Looking forward to your advice. Thanks.
Hi Christine,
It's currently not possible to change this behaviour. I suspect there is some having to conform with how Jira dictates how apps play with Jira, but hopefully it's something that can be changed and is on the roadmap to develop. But as of now, I'm sorry to report the only option is to click that Apps button every time.
You can find me and other users of Scale on Smartbear's community forum here:
As this requirement seems not to be support ted by Zephyr Scale, contact the support of the app developer.
Or see if other Test management apps do provide this, if they to do and Zephyr is not able to solve this.
You might need to consider to switch to user another app.

I think Xray does have this functionality.

Thanks. Yes, most TM tools do except Zephyr Scale. The organisation is committed to Zephyr so unfortunately the tools set cannot be changed. Thank you for your advice though.
