Auto fill the field based on information from a issue-linked

I have a issuetype named Specification.

This issue type has a field named category, that can be: OP1, OP2, OP3.

I have another issue-type named BUG.

BUG has a mandatory field that set the SPECIFICATION impacted.

BUG has a field named Category (hide), that I would like to be filled automatic basead on information from the Specification - field Category, using the workflow post-function.

Its necessary to mitigate the possibilite to set the wrong category on BUG.

The Bug Category always need to be the same that the Specification Category informed.

Hello, you can not do it out of the box. You would need an add-on for it. What is your Jira version (Cloud or Server)? Do you have add-ons like Power Scripts or Scriptrunner?
