Auto comments on Transition

Thirumalesh Gowda April 19, 2021

Hi Community,

Once the QA transition is complete, I'd like to add pre-defined text to the comments. The JSU automation suite is installed on the server.

I am very new to Jira and appreciate any help here.

Hi @Thirumalesh Gowda ,

Using "Update Any Issue Field (JSU)" post-function, you can add a new comment when a transition is executed.

On the desired transition, add a "Update Any Issue Field (JSU)" post-function, select *** new comment *** as Issue Field and enter desired text in the Field Value. Refer to the screenshot below :

We have opened a support ticket, https://beecom-products.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/3/JSU-3493 to better track your request. However, we couldn't add you as a reporter.  Please sign up using this link https://beecom-products.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/3/user/signup and share the user name/id. We'll then add you as the reporter and confirm.

Thanks,

Hey @Thirumalesh Gowda - welcome :)

Whilst I've never used that marketplace app before everything you should need to know about doing that should be available here https://beecom-products.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JSU/overview

Cheers

Ash
