I'm using Jira Service Desk with a custom workflow and want to transition an issue from unassigned to assigned when assignment takes place. I'm using Jira Toolkit plugin and Auto Transition Listener to listen for issue assigned event and then fire the 'assign' transition. I want to hide my custom workflow's "Assign" transition button, leaving only the built-in assign button. Problem is when I add the 'hide transition from user' condition, the transition listener fails with:
com.opensymphony.workflow.InvalidActionException: Action 11 is invalid.
Use Service Desk Automation, instead of Toolkit.

I found the service desk automation section, that is likely what you meant, but the only WHEN options are:
I'm not seeing one for "Issue Assigned".
