As a Jira active user I want to change my mail notification format but every time I try Jira says <<Your session has timed out. You must be logged in to edit your preferences>>

All works fine when I enter Jira... I can see issues, make comments, make transitions,... until I enter my profile page. In that moment my session seems to instantaneously expire!

I tried with Chrome and with Explorer... same results!

I tried to clean all browser caches and saved informations (coockies, passwords,...) ...same results!

I tried on another machine, but no success!

I then asked for help to my JIRA administrator...

He tried deactivating and re-activating my user, but with no success.

He tried even to restart the entire JIRA application on the server with non great results.

Every other JIRA user can access his/her profile with no problems... only my user exhibit this annoying problem.

What can we do to resolve it!

Thanks in advance,

Did you try the ticking the Remember Login checkbox when you first login

Thank you Sateesh! Thank you very much!

Now I'm able to change my preferences, but... what was the problem?

I ask this because other users/colleagues that do not use the "Remember my Login" feature have no problem accessing their profile's preferences.

Thak you a lot,
