Are there issues with field types for "Set field value from parent" post function JMWE

I am using the "Set field value from parent"  to copy a value from the parent issue to a sub-task on Creation.  Alas it does not function.   The field type is a Select List ... logs reveal nothing.

Not the Field Type but the Issue Type.

When using multiple workflows for different issue types make sure you edit the transition in the correct  workflow
