Are deactivated ldap users still showing up in the reporter/assignee searchlists?

We have full LDAP integration with Jira. Currently we delete users from LDAP when they leave the company and this causes troubles with Jira.

I wonder how it works if users instead are deactivated. Are deactivated users still showing up in the reporter/assignee searchlists? I read that I can add some extra filtering to the query for fetching users, but doesn't this also hide the user from existing issues where they stand as reporter/assignee?

I want the users to still "exist" in Jira, but not be chosable as a "new" value.

Hi Sara,

Unfortunately, this is still in the works. They know it's an important feature and it's on it's way.
