Are GitHub commits available via the API?

Bryan Grimes January 27, 2013

We're dumping GitHub commits to Jira as a test, but we need to be able to pull the commits via the Jira API for tracking purposes. Currently the URI (and variants) like https://whatever.atlassian.net/rest/api/2/issue/TICKET-KEY?fields=commit yield nothing. Is there something that I'm not seeing, or are commits not available in the API?

Hi Bryan,

The username you're using to pull the issues has "View Issue Source Tab" rights as per described here?

Best regards,

I'm looking for the "Commit" tab's data, and I *think* that's different than the actual source. I'm an admin in our Jira OnDemand setup, and I can't access the data as well, so I'm thinking that it's not exposed somehow.
