Archiving Versions

Kyle Maune November 6, 2017

We basically had a reset on our project and want the JIRA reports such as the Cumulative Flow Diagram to only include data from after the reset. We don't want to delete our issues and other information from the first 10 sprints but we do want them to not be included in out current JIRA reports and basically be hidden unless specifically seeking out issues from on of these sprints.

Will archiving the versions with these sprints achieve this? Or is there some other way to get this to work?

Hi,

Archiving the versions should achieve this for you.  It will remove any issues from the status reports and the backlog views.

You would have to check the cumulative flow chart as this is just a snapshot of flow over time.  It shouldn't really be too much of an issue if this report doesn't get reset as it's date based so you can just configure the report date and time using the 'Custom' option on the report so you only see the time period you want.

Same applies to the control chart.

Thanks.
