Application link between JIRA (SSL) and Confluence (no SSL) not working

Lubomir Pipiska September 12, 2013

Hi,

We have JIRA running on port 443 (HTTPS) and Confluence on 80 (HTTP). We cannot make application link working between them. Especially we cannot turn to trusted a link from Confluence to JIRA even though we have imported into Confluence public key and CA certificate from JIRA.

Any idea what can be the issue?

Thanks

Hi Lubomir,

Here you can find the details steps to import the certificate, also you may test if after the import everything is fine using SSLPoke.

The error is:

Unable to retrieve the application's certificate: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
