Application Navigator - open links in new browser tab

sbeutel December 17, 2016

Hi,

I'd like to change the behavior of the links in application navigator to open always in new browser tab.

I use a lot of external tools and don't want to leave JIRA when clicking a link in the app navigator in the upper left corner.

Any hints how to modify the behavior?

Agree with Nic. Or if it's just for yourself, hold the cmd button (on mac) or ctrl (on windows) while you click. The link will open in a new browser tab then.

You'd need to hack the code that generates the menu, which is buried in a system plugin if I remember correctly.

You might be able to do it with some javascript that amends the links in the announcement banner though.
