Am I able to track how my users interact with Jira and Confluence?

Marc Keil September 28, 2016

Hey, since we are planning to improve our Service Desk and Knowledge Base quality I wondered if we are able to take a look at how our users interact with JIRA and Confluence.

My main concern for now is to find out what people are searching, that way I could categorize what matters most to our users right now and which search terms they are using to get it.

Ideally I would like to additionally see, which links they clicked. I know that I am able to view the most clicked pages of a space and which pages received the most likes, however I failed to find a combination.

Since we are operating in a closed system I am unable to use Google Analytics I'm afraid.

Any thoughts on this?

Hi Marc,

You could try out PIWIK (http://piwik.org), this enables a lot of user tracking, and can be hosted internally.
