Hi,
I just migrated my JIRA to local server. Everything is fine after re-indexing, but all users in work log are displayed as 'Tempo Timesheets'.
I assume it's due to I didn't install Tempo add-on. However it's same after I installed Tempo. Please check the screen shot attached.
Thanks for you help!
Roger
Hi Roger,
Tempo does not support migrations between Cloud and Server or Cloud and Cloud instances (see also https://tempo-io.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TEMPO/pages/201359381/Can+I+migrate+between+Tempo+for+Cloud+and+Tempo+for+Server).
As Tempo data is stored in a separate database, it is not included when you create a backup in JIRA. Worklogs made in Tempo are synced to the JIRA database but they are displayed as being made by "Tempo Timesheets".
By informing JIRA which user created a Worklog, we may be breaking the View All/ Team Worklog permission - as once this information is within JIRA, we can't protect it anymore, and JIRA will display the information in various places. We must not break our permissions when sending information out to JIRA. For this reason is the Tempo Timesheets plugin that updates the JIRA's time spent field, without disclosing any specific information.

Thanks Susanne for your information. So what should I do? Is there any work around? I cannot create report and invoice now because of this problem.

Hi Roger,
there is currently no easy workaround for this.
You can export the worklogs from the Tempo Cloud database by using the Tempo Servlet API (https://tempo-io.github.io/tempo-mtm-docs/). This export includes the information of the owner of the worklog. You would then need to update all worklogs that are now showing as being made by Tempo Timesheets.
This problem is one of the reasons why migrations are currently not supported.

Susanne

Hello,
I have the same problem. That is because the real user is stored in the Tempo database and when you restore your backup from Cloud to Server, this data are not moved. That is why you have the Tempo Timesheets user. To solve this problem I am writing a program.
