Aliasing an ldap account with a local account

Carl Maughan April 22, 2013

Hi.

Scenario: Before we configured the ldap connection, we had users set up in the local Jira directory.

Requirement: Now we want to be able to alias the users local account with their AD account, so they can log in with their AD credentials (eg ABCD) and this allow them to see issues assigned to them, some of which may have been done to there local or AD account.

Is this possible with crowd aliasing?

Thanks!!

You should be able to do that with Crowd's aliasing. You are able to set an alias for each application that the user is allowed to access in Crowd configurations.

Aliasing has been in crowd for quite awhile so it should be available for use unless you're on a REALLY old version.
