After renaming a Project, the Board Filter that selects by project name no longer works

Donell Peters February 16, 2016

We are using one KanBan board with Quick Filters for multiple projects.  After renaming some of the projects, then modifying the Quick Filters to use the new project names, the filters no longer work.  Open issues no longer appear on the board.

Is this a known bug in Jira?

The annoying failure for filters to get broken by changes of name or key for projects, fields, etc, yes, this is a known set of bugs (I'm not sure "bug" is fair, but definitely a "design flaw".  The filters should be storing and using the immutable database keys for all these things, not their editable labels)

However, your quick filters should work after you edit them, because you've edited them to use the new values.  Could you show us the filters?

project = SEB

The filters are very simple and have been updated with the new project names, but do not work.

Did you re-type the whole filter, and let it auto-complete the project name?

we tried both re-type and auto-fill and the filters don't work.

Ok, that's odd.  What happens if you add a new filter and type in the same?
