After Installing turned to TOMCAT

Yuanjie Li January 16, 2014

Hey my Friends here.

I'm new to JIRA.

Today I Download the trial version of JIRA 6.1.6 and used the Install wizard to finished the installation.

But when I launch JIRA in my browser(both Firefox and Chrome), it turns to: http://localhost:8080/and it shows a Tomcat Welcome page.

I think it is suppose to be JIRA's configuration(language, database and so on).

But it is a tomcat welcome page.......

And i want the "JIRA/logs" folder is empty.

and "Application Data/JIRA" is also empty...

I don't know why. I noticed that all the main file of JIRA

is under "JIRA/atlassian-jira", but i don't know how to access it in the browser,

please help me.

I solved it by myself

Be attention of your enviroement variable "-CATALINA-",

Clear them or direct them to your JIRA Tomcat

Try changing your port number, It is most likely another web/network application is using port 8080. Look at the installation instructions on how to change the port number.

thanks.

i change it into "server:8010, connector:8100"

(by reinstall JIRA)

but when i start the JIRA service

i cannot connect to localhost:8100

what is weird is that localhost:8080 can still be connected.
