Advanced time tracking report

MichaelS April 22, 2015

We would like to use the JIRA time tracking to document the time estimation of new features. However, there is IMHO a lack of reporting functionality, since the time tracking report does not allow filtering (for example issue type, component ...).

Can anyone recommend a plugin that would allow such advanced reporting? Tempo Timesheet seems to be a bit heavy and focusses on  user based time sheets.

Hello Michael,

You could try the Power Report or chose the best one according to your plan and environment:

Hi Michael!
You should definitely have a look at Everhour add-on for Jira.
It allows to receive comprehensive reports of your team’s activity. And you are absolutely free to build the layout of your reports and add as many data columns as you need.

Nowadays, the Kinto Soft reporting framework is surely the most powerful and flexible platform for advanced reporting on JIRA:

  • The Birt Reports for JIRA plugin runs Birt tightly integrated with JIRA
  • whereas the SQL for JIRA plugin wrappers the JIRA Java API with standard SQL and therefore you will be able to run powerful SQL reports via JDBC together (optionally) BIRT.

More awesome plugins for advanced reporting in JIRA are coming soon.
