Admissions/Rights for external Clients

- Is it possible to allow external clients just to read/comment-tickets but not to assign those tickets by themselves?

Yes, you can manage permissions to external clients. This can be achieved using your permission scheme or project roles.

Example:-

Scenario 1 - Create a project role "External Clients" and add the required group of people to it and in permission scheme add this project role to for View Issues and Comment Issues permission.

Scenario 2 - If you have external AD group for external clients, add them directly to View Issues and Comment Issues permission.

Note:- On both scenarios make sure that you are not provided any other permissions for this ProjectRole or AD group to get other permission access.
