Hi we've got a user who is looking to build up a complex project, chopping and changing issue types, and adding removing fields. However I have created him a simplified workflow that he can add statuses and flows too however he is unable to add fields and change create issue types. Does anyone know if there is a setting to enable this for just a project or to create an issue type scheme that allows the project admin to make changes.,
If you are on Jira 7.6 or above, you can delegate some limited field and screen stuff to project administrators, on a project by project basis.
Your admin will still have to do a lot of the work (most importantly, permissions).
Thanks for this, we should hopefully be upgrading to 7.8.0 soon

you should have jira admin permission to create new issue type or issue type scheme

Hello, yes I do have this permission but im just wondering if there is a way to give this permission to just one user on a single project?

See "Create issue type ", "Create custom fields" , "Create Issue screens" are the global permissions related to jira administration not for specific project. These permission can't be given on project basis.

There is something about workflow edit into JIRA 7.3: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftware/jira-software-7-3-x-release-notes-861181590.html
