Adding watchers to a service desk

I'd like to be able to invite people to have an overview of a service desk, without them being able to action issues, giving them essentially read only access. Basically, adding them as a watcher as apposed to an agent. I know it's possible to be added to specific issues, but is it possible for an entire service desk?

That depends on the version of Service Desk you have.

  • If you have 2.x, use the Service Desk Collaborators project role
  • If you have 3.x, use the Service Desk Team project role, but don't set the user in the service-desk-agents user group

If you use JIRA Cloud, the second case should apply to you.
