Adding an issue to a Released Version

I have Released a Product Version say abc1.0 in JIRA on November 1st 2017. Can I tag abc1.0 to a fixversion on a JIRA Story later 20th November 2017?

yes, you can do it i.e. Use an released version on a new/later ticket as the value in the fix version field. There is an open ticket in JIRA to not allow it.

Thanks Tarun, I also agree that it should not be the case. Thanks again for pointing me to the JIRA issue.

oh wow .. that was opened in 2003 .. dont think Atlassian is key on closing it
