Add custom field in Log Work Screen

Hi,

Can any one help me to add custom field in work log screen? I just need only one field to serve purpose of time tracking & Reporting. 

It would be great help, if we have work around except costly Add-on.

Unfortunately, no, it isn't possible to do via configuration in jira. However...

I was able to come up with a hack to solve this by creating a plugin and modifying the logwork.jsp file to add new fields.I used the Servlet-Filter Plugin module to grab the new parameters from the request, then basically I wrote them to a database...not the JIRA one though.

Did you come up with a solution?

Sorry to say that this is currently not possible, but we have this open suggestion: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-1780 that I would suggest you to vote on it and set yourself as a watcher for future updates.
