Accumulating worklogs: Tempo Account > Epic > Task

Ilari Richardt January 12, 2022

Hi,

If the setup is following:

* JIRA Epic is connected to JIRA Tempo Account

* Task is connected to JIRA Epic, but not to JIRA Tempo Account

* Work is logged to Task

Is it possible to somehow accumulate all the worklogs in Tasks under the JIRA Epics to JIRA Tempo Account without connecting all the tickets to JIRA Tempo Accounts?

(or automatically connect Tasks to Account based on Epic link)

Hi @Ilari Richardt ,

The functionality you are describing is not available in the current version of Tempo.

When creating a Tempo Reports filtered by Account, only worklogs on issues that have the Account set (or, in case of sub-tasks have inherited the Account from parent) are considered.
In case a work attribute of type Account is used, also worklogs that have the selected Account set as attribute will be shown.

As issues from different JIRA projects can be linked to an Epic, and these projects might not be linked to the same Accounts, inheritance from the Epic is not available.

We do have a feature request for this in our Tempo Ideas portal, https://ideas.tempo.io/ideas/T-I-364, that you can vote and comment on.
