Accessing RAR-format File Contents

When viewing an issue, JIRA allows you to browse and access the contents of any ZIP-format file (such as those with a '.zip' or '.jar' file name extension) attached to an issue by clicking the right-arrow icon to the left of the zipped file's name.

Is there a method to view the contents of '.rar' extensions from the browser?

Hey Anand, unfortunately there no such feature from JIRA out of box. It is a good idea to have this addition to the JIRA feature as rar format was one of the popular user archive choices. I had created a improvement ticket for this feature to allow it keep track in our system: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-33388
