About sprint number for single scrum board having multiple projects

David Aldrich January 22, 2018

I created a new Scrum board that includes several projects.  One of those projects was previously managed by another Scrum board, which was at sprint N.  The new board has also started at sprint N, which is probably helpful.

Any idea of what is going on here?  Is the sprint number sequence a property of a board?

Why does it not start at zero but picks up the sprint number of another board?

Could I reset it to Sprint 0?

You can rename the sprints as you like. Spring are not a property of the board but it belongs to the issues. JIRA is smart enough to pick up the latest sprint in that project and start from there but you can change the name if you like.

It probably doesn't make sense to have the same sprint names across different boards because they are not tied to a board.
