no e-mail notifications from own custom field

Hello, I hope someone can help me. I want to have a e-mail notification from my own custom field when I move a ticket. I doesn't work. You know why? thanks a lot.

What do you mean by "have a e-mail notification from my own custom field"?

Hello Peter, I mean I have created a own "custom field" with name "Requester", where you can enter Jira User. Now I would like to send an email to the user in the "custom field" in my email authorization scheme, if the issue goes from status open in in progress. But it doesn't work. Only with standard fields in jira, but not with my own custom field. Only with field author or other jira fields.
