Where is Jira Software stored at?

When installing jira software at jira core, which folder is jira software stored at?

In addition where is jira software data stored at? is it located in the same area as jira core data or is it stored in other folder / cloud?

The short answer is "where you told the install to put it", but that's probably not a useful answer for you.

If you're using the installer, then it asks you for two directories to target - installation and data directories.  So you'll find the installation and data where you told it to install them!

If you're unpacking an archive, then the installation is done wherever you unpack the archive, and the data directory is chosen by the directory you put in the application-properties file.

We can't tell you what was chosen when it was installed, bit take a look at the "system information" page.  That tells you where the Tomcat is running, which is inside the installation directory, and it explicitly names the data (home) directory is.

The data is stored in two places though.  If it is just the raw Jira data you want (not the installation or working/temporary files etc), then it is almost all in the database.  The exception is the attachments, which are in <jira home>/shared/attachments

I am not sure where Jira software is installed because I initially have Jira core installed, however, to be able to create scrum project I installed the Jira software through the Jira frontend by login in as an administrator.

We can't tell you where you installed the software on your server(s).

What does the system information page tell us?

What do you mean by system information page?

Literally, admin -» system information.  This is what the  page is called in the menu, the search, and the docs.

yup. so on that page which row indicates the location of where the jira software app is installed and where its data is stored?

Er, the lines that talk about where the Tomcat is running and where the home directory is.
